Bridget Jones Diary (2001)
Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) is an ordinary woman struggling against her age, her weight, her job, her lack of a man, and her many imperfections. As a New Year's Resolution, Bridget decides to turn over a new leaf; starting by keeping a diary in which she will always tell the complete truth. Ms Jones’ adventures begin when her charming roué of a boss (Hugh Grant) takes an interest in her and she can’t resist him. Thrown into the mix are Bridget's circle of oddball friends and a rather disagreeable acquaintance: the dashing Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) who keeps showing up and who is really quite a catch.

Turtle Diary (1985)
A man and a woman, who do not know each other, find they both have empathy for the sea turtles in their tank at the London Zoo. They meet and form an odd, but sympathetic camaraderie as they plan to steal two of the turtles and free them into the ocean. Two great actors: Glenda Jackson and Sir Ben Kingsley play the two lonely people.

Magic Flute Diaries (2006)
Young virtuoso singer Tom is cast in the lead role of Tamino in a staging of The Magic Flute in Salzburg. Cast opposite Tom as Pamina, is a mysterious diva with whom Tom quickly falls in love. Intrigue develops when the diva disappears, jeopardizing the premiere of the production. Tom is torn apart as he tries to decide what he has to do to help the Diva while struggling with his own demons. Eventually he is unable to distinguish between the fantasy world of the opera and the reality of the drama offstage. The Magic Flute transports the audience into an elaborate musical spectacle that brings to life all the extravagance of the 18th century with the energy of a contemporary pop video.

The Princess Diaries (2001)
Mia, as portrayed by Anne Hathaway, is an awkward San Francisco teenager, who learns her late father was the crown prince of a lesser-known country called Genovia. To preserve the royal bloodline, the queen, played by Julie Andrews, seeks the favor of her estranged granddaughter in hopes that she will take on the responsibility of becoming the crown princess. While Mia contemplates her future, her grandmother insists on turning her from a social misfit into a lady fit for the throne. What these two discover about each other is that blood is more important than bloodlines.

Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005)                                                                  
Helen McCarter has everything a woman wants: a nice house and rich husband. However her husband Charles throws her out of the house after admitting to an affair. A distraught Helen turns to her mother, grandmother Madea and cousin Brian who take her in and turn back to God. Helen learns for the first time in her life to stand up on her own two feet and is ready to remove herself from her relationship with Charles and move on with Orlando. But when her husband is almost killed by a vengeful client, Helen wonders if she has the heart to forgive him despite everything.

The Nanny Diaries (2007)
Strapped for cash after her graduation, Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) puts an ad in the newspaper, hoping to find a position as a nanny. This also seems a good way to sidestep the ongoing disagreement she has with her mother over her choice of a career path. A chance encounter quickly leads to a position working for  Mr. X (Paul Giamatti) and Mrs. X (Laura Linney), a wealthy Upper East Side couple looking after their spoiled 4 year-old son. To say that her employers are difficult would be an understatement. For the next nine frenzied months, Annie is forced to juggle her studies, her demanding bosses, their son, and a boyfriend.
