A. E. Hotchner (writer of the original novel: Looking for Miracles which was adapted by Kevin Sullivan and Stuart McLean)
Aaron Edward Hotchner is an American editor, novelist, playwright and biographer. He is best known for Papa Hemingway, his 1966 biography of close friend, Ernest Hemingway, whose work he had adapted for plays and television.
King of the Hill, A. E. Hotchner's evocative memoir about growing up in St. Louis during the Great Depression, was made into a movie in 1993, the screenplay written and directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Trivia: Hotchner with partner Paul Newman is well-known for giving all profits from several business ventures (including Newman’s Salad Dressings’ sales) to children’s charities.

Timothy Findley -1930-2002 (Writer of novel The Piano Man’s Daughter)
Findley pursued a career in the arts, studying dance and acting, and had significant success as an actor before turning to writing. He was part of the original Stratford Festival company in the 1950s, acting alongside Alec Guinness, and appeared in the first production of Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker at the Edinburgh Festival.
Timothy Findley received a Governor General's Award, the Canadian Authors Association Award, an ACTRA Award, the Order of Ontario, the Ontario Trillium Award, and in 1985 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada. He was a founding member and chair of the Writers' Union of Canada, and a president of the Canadian chapter of PEN International.

Randall Beth Platt (Writer of novel The Four Arrows Fe-As-Ko which became Promise the Moon when it wasadapted by Kevin Sullivan and Peter Behrens)
Randall was born in Seattle, Washington in 1948 and grew up outside of Portland, Oregon. She gets up at 4 am every morning and writes. She's accomplished in a wide range of genres including humorous westerns and novels for teenagers. When she's not writing, she's an avid handball player. She plays tournaments throughout Pacific Northwest, as well as national tournaments.
